The Mount Sinai Hospital, founded in 1852, is one of the oldest and largest teaching hospitals in the United States. It is located in East Harlem in the New York City borough of Manhattan, on the eastern border of Central Park stretching along Madison and Fifth Avenues, between East 98th Street and East 103rd Street.
Pursuing a medical education, Dr. Flannery received her undergraduate education at Duke University in 2006. Years later, in 2013, she earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University.
Furthering her training, she completed externships in psychology at the Center of Excellence in Eating and Weight Disorders at Mount Sinai, NYC Health + Hospitals / Bellevue, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in 2016, 2017, and 2018, respectively. She then performed her internship in clinical psychology at NYU Child Study Center/Bellevue Hospital Center in 2019, and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Center of Excellence in Eating and Weight Disorders at Mount Sinai in 2021.
Teaching students, Dr. Flannery serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is also a Clinical Instructor within the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

Psychologists assess, diagnose, and treat the psychological problems and behavioral dysfunctions resulting from, or related to, physical and mental health.
