Humidifiers can also aid in the reduction of congestion, the opening of airways, and the promotion of clearer breathing. Consider adding lavender, eucalyptus, or peppermint oil to your humidifier to get the most out of it. A pleasant aroma may help you relax by putting you in a better mood.

It should go without saying, but always follow the cleaning instructions provided by the manufacturer. If your humidifier is not kept clean and sterilized, it can become a breeding ground for mold and bacteria. Neither of which is beneficial for your lungs or easy breathing at night.
