The Big 55 Mile Taff Trail Challenge Lara Ebrey aged 5, was commended with riding and successfully completing the tough 55 mile Taff Trail challenge. The 55 mile trail which begins in Brecon in Mid Wales, and runs through the lower Brecon Beacons, past Merthyr Tydfil and eventually finishes by the sea in Cardiff Bay.
Training for the event took over 6 months, and covered hundreds of miles on trails local to High Wycombe, although none so challenging as the Taff Trail itself. A trained adult would have had difficulty completing this challenge and for a young girl of only 5 years-old to complete it, was quite a feat and must be recognized for the huge achievement that it was. .
This was not any old challenge, this was a challenge set down to show spirit and determination, says proud dad, Paul Ebrey who owns and supplies cycling gear for kids and who are the largest online retailer in the UK for kids cycling accessories. My amazing daughter Lara Ebrey has shown tremendous commitment and courage to complete this challenge over the past 6 months gruelling training.

To complete such a challenge at such a young age shows true spirit and this challenge could well have set Lara up mentally for the rest of her life to become a big achiever. Lara has proved that she has huge stamina and determination at such a very young age. Her decisions to push past the pain barriers with crashing and burning several times over uncharted territories, are inspiring to all. Qualities of perseverance like this in a child so young are very inspiring and very rare, and this will surly push this young girl forward to succeed in her future life.
