Reading Dental Associates Explains The Process and Benefits of Clear Aligners

Reading Dentist, Dr. Maryam Hojjati describes Invisalign treatment and what it entails.

READING, Mass. - Dec. 12, 2023 - PRLog -- Reading dentist, Dr. Maryam Hojjati, explains Invisalign, including its treatment process and benefits. Invisalign (or clear aligners) is a popular orthodontic treatment, thanks to its clear plastic aligners. Although many patients choose Invisalign for the discretion it offers, the treatment is also more comfortable, better for oral health, and faster acting compared to metal braces.

Patients who are interested in Invisalign first visit for a consultation to verify that they are eligible. If an exam shows that Invisalign is an option, then the planning process begins with X-rays, bite impressions, and taking photos. The information from these records is used to make a treatment plan and aligner designs, which are then sent to the Invisalign lab for production. Patients return a few weeks later to start wearing their first stage of aligners. During the treatment period, which lasts an average of fifteen months, patients return every two weeks to have their progress checked and receive new aligners that will bring them closer to their final results. Finally, patients receive ortho retainers that will keep the teeth in their new positions.

In addition to offering clear aligners, Reading Dental Associates, a multi specialty dental clinic, performs a full range of dental treatments. These include general dental procedures, such as fillings, teeth whitening, smile makeovers, and veneers. Tooth replacements, such as dental implants and dental bridges, are also available. Dr. Vora also offers the latest laser procedures, dental sedation, pediatric dentistry, and dental treatments for sleep apnea and TMJ.
