Pokémon plans permanent London store by 2029
The shop will sell exclusive merchandise as part of plans for several permanent Pokémon stores outside Asia.

The Pokémon Company says London will host the first of several permanent shops it plans to open outside Asia, with the opening scheduled for no later than 2029. The company has not yet detailed the other planned locations.
The London shop will offer exclusive merchandise, a feature also offered at the brand's temporary stores. Previous London pop-ups have included a shop at the Natural History Museum and outlets accompanying editions of the Pokémon European International Championships.
Gaku Susai, chief product and experience officer at The Pokémon Company International, said the London store is intended to give both newcomers and longtime fans an opportunity to experience the brand.
The company said information about further locations would come later. Pokémon previously had a permanent retail presence in New York: Pokémon Center New York opened in 2001, before the site became Nintendo's flagship store four years later.
